How it began:
I have always been interested in photography as a form of creative expression. I quickly signed up for photography and art classes in high school just like everyone else, but my true love for photography didn’t blossom until I was in college studying, believe it or not, physical education. While all of my friends were playing basketball and soccer, I was on the sidelines photographing them. After some soul searching and a lot of reassurance from an art teacher I realized I was on the wrong path. So I packed my bags and moved to California where I attended the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography. While ‘Brooks’ was incredibly challenging, it was equally if not more rewarding. I was able to perfect my technical skills, find inspiration, expand my creativity and in the end, capture the beauty and the truth in the now.
