Cheers to a fabulous couple. This engagement session was quite the miracle. Adam and Kristi LOVE to ski. They are always telling me about their incredible ski adventures. so how perfect would it be to shoot an engagement session as the snow is falling down? Well this is a very hard thing to plan and as spring quickly approached we both settled on the fact that their engagement session would have to take place with the green grass and sunshine. Adam and Kristi invited Adam (my fiance) and I up to Wild Basin for their tasting. We planned to do an engagement shoot up there either before or after dinner so I could find the best spots for photos on their wedding day. I was expecting sun but on the drive up it started snowing, it snowed all through dinner and continued to snow during the shoot. It could not have worked more perfectly. Can’t wait for your beautiful wedding!!!!

Here’s a sneak peak of Kristi and Adam’s Engagement Session. Many more coming soon….
If you followed me from Simply Treasured Photography, you know that I got engaged myself quite a while ago. I have to say, it’s fun being on the other side of things. I think some of the hardest things so far has been collecting all of those snail mail addresses, finding a photographer and making the save the dates. We found the cutest venue overlooking Canandaigua lake in upstate NY and all of the little details are coming together nicely ![]()
I found this wedding website that I absolutely love! Check it out if you’d like…. www.wedsite.com or you can check mine out… www.adamandjennwedding.wedsite.com
Anyways, I am super excited to post these save the dates. I hope they become inspiration for all of you brides to be:) Happy Wedding Planning

- Jennifer, thank you so much for the beautiful photos of Dusty! Fabulous. Loved browsing through your blog and website. As a struggling writer and artist, I respect your work and wish you the best. You have a great talent. Maybe when my boyfriend "finally" pops the question, I'll be giving you a call. See you at the dog park soon! thanks again kristi
It has been a little over two years since the Zaca fire burned approximately 240,207 acres in Santa Barbara, making it the largest fire in Santa Barbara county’s history and the second largest fire in California’s history. It took Fire Fighters a whole two months to get this fire contained and sporadically during that time the westerly winds would cover Santa Barbara in ash. Growing up in New York it’s no surprise that this was new to me (and my parents as well who called quite frequently). So as a nature lover, I thought it would be fun to check out what new growth was sprouting up. It is an amazing site, the new green brush and trees amongst black charred tree trunks.

- Hi! Jenn, got your comment, thank you for all your appreciation. Yes Iam! Saw your new blog its awesome and having a treasure for me. Wow! lovely and catchy photography and the depth of field is great you are really amazing Jenn. Hoping to learn something from you :) Nothing can stop me to visit again :) take care Regards
This is my fiance Adam. When we go on hikes I always bring my camera and right around our lunch break I start to get creative and want to try out new photography techniques and use Adam as my model. Here are my favorite two from our hike to Gibraltar Dam in Santa Barbara

The power of a memory, the power of a photograph:
I am always so happy to get out and shoot, but this portrait sitting had a certain weight on my heart. Breanna is one of my friends and recently she has communicated her concern for Rocky’s health. I don’t blame her because this Rock Star is 16 years old and counting. So without hesitation, I offered to take some pictures of her and Rocky and she was so excited. Being able to use photography in such a powerful way, to give someone a gift that can last forever is the reason I wake up in the morning. Knowing when she looks at these images 20 years down the road she will smile gives me a place and a purpose in this world.
Enjoy!

I had so much fun with these girls. They get their portraits taken every year with their mother and this was the first year they hired a photographer on their own to surprise their mom (who loves the serious shots). And since they are both away at college now, their mom has recent portraits of them on her walls.

To fill up my blog with some of my old favorites, I will be pulling images from the archives. This image is from my first photoshoot underwater (4 years ago) and is still an inspiration to me. I photographed this at a time when I had aspirations of becoming a nature and underwater photographer and signed up for the underwater course at Brooks Institute of Photography. Before we were allowed into the ocean to photograph sealions, fish and sharks, yes sharks, we had a pool assignment so we could learn to use our new gear. Well with my boyfriend being 3000 miles away I often used photography as a way to vent my emotions and created this series.
- Jen I Love the photo shoot you did with Vanessa Underwater! You for sure captured the real Shnuff! I love you! We came so far! Look at you now! Your amazing! xxxooo
